Hellastat acquires Credit Info Hellas from CreditInfo Schufa Group

In Athens, today, Hellastat and CreditInfo SCHUFA GmbH announced that they have successfully concluded the transfer of 100% of shares of Creditinfo Hellas to Hellastat. Creditinfo Hellas is the successor of the first found business information company in Greece, Alpha Mi, whereas Hellastat is the fastest growing entity in the industry.
Mr Reynir Gretarsson, CEO of Creditinfo Schufa Group stated that “As part of our expansion strategy in the areas of Credit Bureau services in new emerging markets we were seeking for a trusted successor of our business information activities in Greece, as we have successfully done it in some other countries.  We want to focus our efforts where we can provide wider range of services than is possible in Greece due to legal restrains.

I’m very happy that we reached an agreement with Hellastat that has the vision, the people and the infrastructure in continuing serving at least in the same level as we served our clients.”

Mr Panos Michalopoulos, Managing Partner of Hellastat and new CEO of Creditinfo Hellas stated that “current economic conditions in Greece demands similar entities within an industry to join forces as to provide services of higher quality by exploiting economies of scale. With the acquisition of Creditinfo Hellas we inherit the oldest company in the Greek business information industry that includes top caliber personnel, excellent level of services and reputable clients to whom we guarantee that the merge of the two companies will produce even better services and prices.

Finally, I would like to note that this transaction proves Hellastat’s strong commitment for continuous expansion while offering innovative and state of the art services that fulfill the needs of our clients in Greece and abroad. We strongly believe that we possess substantial experience, high caliber people and cutting edge know-how, in order to achieve our targets.”
