Credit Risk Automation Training in Baku, Azerbaijan - Conference

Creditinfo provided a full days education and lively discussion on the benefits and practicality of decision automation and credit bureau to representatives of Banks and MFIs. The conference was sponsored by IFC, AMFA (Azerbijioan Microfinance Association) and the Swiss Confederation and was attended also by Elchin Habibov of the Central Bank credit Registry.

The main purpose of the seminar was to provide an overview of the use of scoring and automated credit application processes. Creditinfo was represented by Mr. Paul Randall, Mr Jiri Beran and Mr. Alexey Statsenko who will ran a full day workshop on credit risk automation. The aims were to ensure delegates left with the knowledge;
What is the automation and scoring is and why and when it is used
How the application process will change with the introduction of automation
How companies in your region achieved success through automation
What are the not technical, thus human, changes needed for successful introduction of automation

It was an interactive session with examples and practical sessions. Creditinfo is dedicated to educate and share knowledge of improved automation and there are similar seminars anticipated to be run in Ukraine and Georgia early in 2012, as well as running client specific sessions.

Mr Reynir Gretarsson, CEO of  Creditinfo Group said “it is insufficient to develop credit bureau and introduce automated system into markets without providing the necessary knowledge transfer and training otherwise these powerful tools for economic growth will not achieve the potential.  For this reason Creditinfo are making significant investment in training, and we welcome such initiatives such as this led by the IFC”.
